One Crew for the Whole Job

Remodeling breaks down when it is split between five companies who have never met. The tile setter blames the plumber, the painter blames the drywall guy, and the homeowner ends up running the schedule. We built Five Star Renovation DFW to avoid that. Our crew handles the demo, the framing and insulation, drywall and texture, tile and flooring, cabinets and counters, trim and paint. Foundation, plumbing, electrical and HVAC are scheduled by us, on our calendar, so the job moves in order.

Residential and Commercial

Most of our work is in houses across Tarrant County and the rest of the Metroplex, from a single bathroom to a whole house taken down to the studs. We also build out offices, retail suites and restaurants, where the work is the same and the schedule is tighter. Both kinds of job get a written scope with materials listed, one person running the calendar, and the same finish crew from the first day to the last.

How We Decide What a Job Needs

The walk-through is where the scope gets set. We look at the foundation for movement, check which walls carry load, find the plumbing and electrical that will need to move, and measure everything. Then we write down what we saw. On a house built in DFW between 1970 and 2000, that list usually includes an uneven slab, aluminum windows, thin insulation and a kitchen closed off from the living room. Knowing that before demo is the difference between a scope that holds and a job that grows.

The order of work

Demo, then framing and structural changes, then rough-in for plumbing and electrical, then insulation and drywall, then texture and prime, then tile and flooring, then cabinets and counters, then trim, then paint. Every one of our jobs runs in that order because it is the order that does not require redoing anything.
